Today I played golf!—the final proof that a complete healing had come about through total reliance on Christian Science.
Some months ago I became ill. The condition left me with pain in my back, shoulders, and arms that incapacitated me for several weeks. The prayer of a Christian Science practitioner, and the assistance of a kind neighbor and women from the church (who came each day to prepare lunch), gave me cause for deep gratitude. At times my prayer consisted only of recounting the many things I had to be grateful for and pondering words from some of the hymns in our Christian Science Hymnal. This was spiritually uplifting and helped alleviate the severe pain.
