Sight undimmed
Sight need not grow dim with passing years. As we accept God, divine Love, to be the source of all true perception and discernment, our human faculties are sharpened, sight remains clear, faulty vision is corrected.
In Christian Science, man is seen as the expression of divine Love. The material body, including all anatomical conditions, is a fundamental belief in the opposite of spiritual being. Mrs. Eddy writes: "And how is man, seen through the lens of Spirit, enlarged, and how counterpoised his origin from dust, and how he presses to his original, never severed from Spirit!" The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 129. Pressing to divine Mind, Spirit, the real man is continually embraced in the universe of perfect, incorporeal substance. This inseparable unity of God and man means one powerful presence preserving man's unimpaired vision throughout eternity.
Of course, this truth refers to spiritual man, the son of God, revealed in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. He is the image of God and has full dominion, including freedom from belief of faulty vision. In line with this true record, man's faculties remain eternally as perfect as his creator.
