We can help the abused child
What can we do about child abuse?
Metaphysicians can give the problem their attention. Just as other citizens, they are obedient to state laws that require reporting of child abuse to proper authorities. But so much more needs to be done. Metaphysicians can pray. And they should never discount the power of prayer, for there is no power on earth that equals that of infinite divine Love.
In their own lives, Christian Scientists are proving Truth to be an effective antidote for belief in evil in its myriad forms. Truth's power is just as present to solve community problems. It is Truth that is forcing errors to the surface to be corrected and healed. For child abuse, as has been recognized in the last decade, has long been an ignored problem.
