The deep spiritual hunger of this age deserves to be met everywhere around the globe with more than personal opinion.

Our pastor feeds the world

Take a trip with me to Christian Science Reading Rooms around the world. In Europe, the British Isles, the United States and Canada, in South America, Asia, Africa, New Zealand, Australia, these rooms are an open welcome to all seekers for Truth. Third world Reading Rooms, especially, are contributing to transforming people's lives through God's own promise uttered by Jeremiah: "I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding." Jer. 3:15. Two dynamic books—the Holy Scriptures and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures—are the pastor ordained by the Founder of the Church of Christ, Scientist, Mary Baker Eddy, who is also the author of Science and Health.

Can atomic force be controlled? Is Life too big for a test tube? How can I provide for my family? What will overcome the fear of deceit and violence? Where can we find protection from disease? Through the vision and love of the very Word of God, this pastor tackles these and other issues and provides answers.

Located in a business community, a shopping district, a residential area, or sometimes even in a thatched hut, a Reading Room presents the pastor, waiting to feed the world with the knowledge of God and to kindle and deepen our understanding of the Father's love. Unlike a personal pastor who can be absent, this pastor is always at hand. A young man from an orthodox church, when he saw this point, observed to a librarian in a Christian Science Reading Room, "Our pastor is in India now, but I can see that your pastor is wherever you are."
