My introduction to Christian Science came by way of an invitation to a Sunday service in The Mother Church several years ago. That church service changed my life.

Soon after, I began reading the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy on an irregular basis and had many healings whenever I applied its teachings correctly. Cuts, infections, effects of accidents, and discordant relationships were healed as my knowledge grew of the nothingness of evil and the allness of God.

Over the years, however, I became immersed in several longstanding problems: alcoholism, tobacco use, and depression. I also suffered with a bleeding stomach, constant abdominal pains and, at times, I was unable to walk because of pain in my knees and ankles. Needless to say, I was unhappy and frightened. I asked our Father-Mother God to show me the way out of my troubles.
