As a child I had no religious training. By the time I was married, though, I was in real need of spiritual food—I had physical problems to work out.

A friend suggested one day that I find out about Christian Science. I borrowed a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and after reading it I knew Christian Science was the answer to my prayers. It was everything I was looking for.

One time during a flu epidemic, I discovered I was manifesting all the symptoms. This led me to call a Christian Science practitioner for help. She encouraged me to study the Lord's Prayer and asked me to call her back later that day. I did the studying and then took a nap. When I woke up, I found myself completely free and thanked God. I will never forget this healing.

Soon after this I was no longer smoking. I was surprised because no specific prayer had been given to this problem. In fact, I hadn't even thought about giving up the habit. It just left me as a result of the purification that was taking place in my thinking.

For this and for many other healings I am so grateful. Every day I thank God for His goodness and love for me and for all mankind. Christian Science is wonderful.
