"Fringe benefits"
We hear much these days about "fringe benefits." Absolutely speaking, perhaps there is no such thing as a fringe benefit, because there is nothing small when it comes to Christian Science healing. Every detail is very important.
Sometimes when we have been praying about a problem for a while, in our inexperience, we think there has been no progress because we have not been healed. But our prayer and study make us grow spiritually, and this should always be our goal. The resulting healing indicates an advance in our understanding.
In addition to the healing we seek, however, we may find "fringe benefits"—unexpected good or the removal of character faults or other difficulties we may have been unaware of.
