Safety through spiritual understanding
The apparent inability of society to deal more effectively with crime should turn people to dependency on a higher power for security. The Bible tells of God's promise to the prophet Hosea, who preached the deep love of God: "I will be thy king: where is any other that may save thee in all thy cities?" Hos. 13:10; One finds the reliable protection he needs when he draws close to God through scientific prayer. As he does, he learns that fear and insecurity do not belong to him, for he belongs to God.
God, the All-in-all, is entirely good, and man reflects the divine nature. Evil is untrue. What appears to be an evil person is only a mistaken concept of so-called mortal mind. To pray scientifically is to acknowledge these facts, to realize that man is sinless. And this prayer has the power to prevent one from being victimized by the wrong instincts and actions of others.
Scientific truth reveals man as inseparable from God. As the child of Spirit, man can be neither a criminal nor the victim of crime. God creates neither harmful nor vulnerable mortals. In fact, He creates only immortals.
