For many years I had suffered from hay fever and asthma to the point where I was unable to walk in the garden or pass by a cornfield without experiencing dire effects. Finally one day during an extremely bad attack, I asked my son to call a Christian Science practitioner. This worker came at once to pray for me and to reassure me that God loved me and I had nothing to fear. After that treatment I was perfectly free, and I have not been bothered by hay fever or asthma again.

I continued my study of the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and many blessings followed. Through prayer and study I was able to heal myself of colds, headaches, flu, and other ailments. I later had Christian Science class instruction from a teacher who taught me the meaning of spiritual rebirth and the importance of relying on God.

The healing that most impressed me, however, and for which I am most grateful, concerned my daughter when she was going through a rebellious time in her teens. While she was hitchhiking home one night, the driver of the car she was riding in committed a robbery. My daughter was sent to a house of correction.
