"I was convinced that bodily conditions are not life-determining factors"
Christian Science reveals Truth. It is far more than a "way of life" or a tool to solve human problems—although it certainly does this. It is the Science of being, and I am daily grateful for a growing realization of this fact.
Christian Science was presented to my mother by a friend when, as a high school student, Mother was confined to bed with inflammatory rheumatism. The complete healing, which resulted when they turned to this Science, led my mother and grandmother to begin studying it. This healing Science was a vital influence in my upbringing.
The habit, established in childhood, of turning to God to solve problems has enabled me to overcome physical difficulties, as well as social and financial obstacles in my life. The rules of healing I have learned through Christian Science have been sufficient to meet the demands of rearing a family of four children.
