Credo

JOHN CUNO

To throw myself into the fray
with courage, commitment, and zest.
To give myself fully, this day,
to God in doing my best.

To live at the height of my powers.
To seize each moment with zeal.
To ride on the crest of the hours,
forsaking the false for the real.

To follow the banner of Christ
though the smoke of battle grow thick!
To respond to the urgent cries
of the dying, the sinful, the sick.

To see how the light breaks through
revealing spiritual man,
encouraging me and you
to heal with this light as we can.

To know the dominion of Soul
and success that is gained through strife.
To live with this lofty goal:
to reflect the fullness of Life.

To throw myself into the fray
with laughter, abandon, and zest.
To forsake the world for the Christ—
and let God take care of the rest.
