Over ten years ago I developed bursitis in one shoulder

Over ten years ago I developed bursitis in one shoulder. It was so painful that I could not lie down at night but had to sit in a chair. As I did not seem to be making progress through my own prayer, I asked my dad for help. Together we acknowledged God's saving law and pondered truths of man's perfect spiritual selfhood. This passage proved especially potent (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 393): "Be firm in your understanding that the divine Mind governs, and that in Science man reflects God's government. Have no fear that matter can ache, swell, and be inflamed as the result of a law of any kind, when it is self-evident that matter can have no pain nor inflammation." Within a few days all pain was completely gone, and I was healed of the bursitis.

My family have had healings of scarlet fever, an infected heel, and strep throat, among others. I am deeply grateful for what I have learned of Christian Science and for its healing impact on the world.
