FROM THE DIRECTORS
We are pleased to announce the election of David W. Rennie, C. S. B., of Denver, Colorado, to The Christian Science Board of Directors, effective October 1,1980. Mr. Rennie succeeds DeWitt John, C. S. B., who has asked to retire to devote his time to the teaching and practice of Christian Science after a full career of service to The Mother Church.
Mr. John has served with distinction in posts of major responsibility at headquarters, including Manager of Committees on Publication, Editor of The Christian Science Monitor, and as a member of the Board of Directors.
Mr. John joined The Mother Church in 1927, received Primary class instruction in 1937, and has been listed in The Christian Science Journal as a practitioner since 1958, becoming a teacher of Christian Science in 1964. He is author of the book The Christian Science Way of Life. His years of dedication and experience as a working Christian Scientist, and as a professional writer whose talents and energies have been devoted exclusively to the promotion and extension of Christian Science, have been of inestimable value to the Cause he has served with outstanding devotion over the years. He will continue to teach his classes and hold his association meetings in Boston. He has our heartfelt appreciation, and loving wishes for his continued service to our Cause.
