What base are you working in?

2+4=6 or 2+4=11? Both examples are really correct. If worked in base ten, the sum of two and four equals six. But all number systems are not set in base ten. If one is working in a number system based on five, for instance, the answer that looks like eleven stands for one five and one unit—a correct answer. In base five there is no symbol for six.

In Christian Science there is only one base for correctly solving any problem—base Spirit. Yet the world, not understanding God, Spirit, keeps pushing materialistic answers to problems. The belief in base matter would keep x-ing out spiritual answers. Few comprehend Spirit or the fact that in base Spirit there is no symbol for matter, just as in base five there is no symbol for six.
