A message of love
[Original in Spanish]
On the first Christmas night, almost twenty centuries ago, a message of peace and infinite good came to the earth. "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men," Luke 2:14; is the message of love recorded by Luke. It was the love of God given to all men, women, and children of all times, races, and creeds. A unique child was born that night, the visible representative of the saving, healing Christ. Jesus proved in his life that the spiritual idea, Christ, is a power that destroys the error of belief in a power separate from God, Love.
As the symbol of a new era, the light of a star shone for those who were willing to receive the goodness and tenderness of the Christ. The darkness of unenlightened thought was illumined with the glory of God's truth. This divine understanding brought the shepherds and the wise men to the infant Jesus.
The representative of the spiritual idea had an apparently humble beginning. But the magnitude of his mission—to express God's uplifting love for mankind—unfolded to fullness when Christ Jesus rose whole and free from the cross and the grave. His enemies had lost to forgiving love.
