I am deeply grateful for the steps that led me to Christian Science...
I am deeply grateful for the steps that led me to Christian Science many years ago. At the time I suffered from colds, coughs, and related difficulties. My healing of these complaints assured me that Science offered answers to my questions about God and man. It made me long to rely on God completely. Since then there have been many other healings.
One time a sore spot developed on my face. When it did not yield readily to my prayer, I became frightened and sought a medical diagnosis. The doctor told me I had a precancerous condition. Fear overwhelmed me, and I allowed him to schedule an appointment for me with a specialist.
However, as the date of the appointment approached, I knew that I did not want to follow through with it; instead, I wanted to rely on God alone for my healing. I canceled the appointment and called a Christian Science practitioner, who said he would pray for me immediately.
