"The armor of divinity"
In most societies, clothing oneself appropriately is taken for granted. Dressing one's thought, however, is often done sketchily if at all. But the care taken in wrapping consciousness in robes of love and spiritual trust can prove profoundly rewarding.
Christian Science shows that all human experience is predicated on the state of human consciousness. To heal, we deal only with the erroneous thought projecting the seeming discord—not with the discord per se. But protecting thought can do much to prevent discord from arising in the first place. Christian Science is preventive as well as curative.
To successfully practice the preventive medicine of Spirit, we need to buckle on our mental armor at first awakening and keep it on. We need to recognize our true, spiritual identity and allow no subtle, negative insinuations to slip into consciousness.
