Christian Science has been a way of life for me for many years. To say it in Bible language (Ps. 40:2), "He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings."

I had a bad disposition or temper, and it kept me weighted down with many difficulties. Having friends who were Christian Scientists, and seeing the peace and harmony they expressed, I felt this Science could help me, so I started going to a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. As I studied the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly each week, I was lifted above the mortal, and I found I could claim my God-given dominion.

Through the years I have had many healings. Some have been instantaneous, and others took time to work out. One healing I had came after I strained the muscles in one leg when I was walking in deep, sticky mud. It was most painful, so the next day I went to see a Christian Science practitioner to help me through prayer. I hobbled into his office. He agreed to pray for me, and we talked for a few minutes. Then I went into the waiting room of his office where I could read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and also pray for myself. It was ten o'clock when I arrived at the practitioner's office, and at noon I walked out completely healed. I could go on my way knowing "that my redeemer liveth" (Job 19:25).
