"Man is the radiant expression of Spirit"
Where does happiness come from?
Is happiness dependent on another person?
Happiness comes from within, from peace and well-being, and its source is God. The Bible makes this clear in many places, and Christian Science goes on to explain the scientific basis of happiness: God is the one divine Mind, and man, as Mind's spiritual idea, reflects the joyful qualities that Mind constantly imparts. Because man has no separate mind, he can't get bogged down in depression or gloom.
Man, the image of Soul, reflects joy. Joy is evidenced as good humor, lightheartdedness, spontaneity. Man is the radiant expression of Spirit, and because man expresses Spirit we can find buoyancy and effervescence in our lives.
