God is all-seeing
Christian Science brings sweeping, spiritual insight to the traditional concept of an all-seeing God—the concept that views Him as a glorified, humanlike being who looks out over the universe with a watchful eye.
Gaining a more accurate perception of God always brings a measure of healing. The spiritual deepening and sharpening of our understanding of God's all-seeing nature is no exception. Such increased awareness brings healing to receptive individual thought.
Matter is not God. Therefore seeing is not inherent in matter. Because God is Spirit and because Spirit is all-seeing, matter has never had the capacity to see. Spirit, Mind, is the eternal source of seeing. Erring mortal mind—the supposition that mind is material and personal—attributes to matter what belongs to God: true seeing. Divine Mind does not provide unintelligent matter with the capacity to see. Infinite Mind—by its very nature—exposes matter as unsubstantial.
