I began to study Christian Science over twenty years ago at a time of great unhappiness. I was searching for a religion I could understand and believe.
I was not seeking physical healing, but I soon discovered this Science does heal. While I was still in a tentative, groping period, endeavoring to decide if this religion was indeed the truth, I went to a physician for a physical checkup. He told me I had fibroid tumors that would necessitate an operation in about six months. The little I had learned of man's state as an idea of God enabled me mentally to deny the validity of this diagnosis right while it was being given.
When I returned to the city where I lived, I called a Christian Science practitioner and asked her to give me prayerful treatment. After this I had no further trouble. Years later a complete physical examination, required for employment purposes, verified the healing.
