Freedom from tyranny through Christ
Is there a way that mankind can really become free from tyranny?
This question has been asked for centuries. Tyranny takes many forms, ranging from the domineering relative to political dictatorship. Fetters of habit, custom, physical disability, emotional imbalance, can all be tyrannical. Tyranny wears guises as various as geography and ignorance.
Christian Science challenges all this. God is infinite creative Mind, and man's nature, therefore, is spiritual and Godlike. From this premise Science reckons that the so-called mortal—and anything and everything that enslaves him—misrepresents real manhood. This Science reaffirms, in effect, Christ Jesus' promise, based on man's status as God's son: "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."John 8:36;
