It has been some years since I have written a testimony on the many healings I have received. Sometimes my healings have come with the help of Christian Science practitioners, and sometimes through my own prayerful work. Home, companionship, and harmonious relationships have been established; lost articles have been found; and there have been healings of physical difficulties.

At one time I had a fear of contagion, especially influenza, as this was being discussed around me. One morning I awakened with all the symptoms. It was a trying time until, after some days of illness, I recalled this thought from the Bible (II Tim. 1:7): "God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." My fear was beginning to lessen.

I reasoned that since God is the only presence and the only power, and God is Love, then there is nothing to fear. I went to sleep that night with the assurance of peace and rest. The coughing still persisted. I awakened later with the thought from Mrs. Eddy's book Unity of Good, where she says (p. 60), "This false sense of substance must yield to His eternal presence, and so dissolve."
