In Science and Health Mrs. Eddy says (p. 330), "God is what the Scriptures declare Him to be,—Life, Truth, Love." I am most grateful that I have been reared in Christian Science and that I attended the Christian Science Sunday School from an early age.

I would like to tell of a beautiful healing I had. I became so ill I could not care for myself. A proof of God's omnipresence was that a dear friend, a Christian Science practitioner, called me at this time, not knowing of my condition. She came and took me to her home. I suffered sharp pains in my back. It was necessary for her to feed me, as I was quite weak. A natural bodily function, which had remained inactive for nine days, resumed its normal function. I grew stronger and was soon able to sit up and read the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly myself. After a few weeks I returned home and took care of my household duties. I served the remainder of the year as superintendent of the Sunday School and am now quite active as clerk of our church.

I live alone, so I have had to learn that I can never be outside God's loving care. The Christian Science periodicals have been a comfort to me.
