With great joy and love I relate a few of many healings our family has experienced through Christian Science.

With sincere joy I thank God for Mrs. Eddy and for His having given me the great blessing of being able to give up, almost effortlessly, alcoholic beverages, a vice I was a slave to for some years. I was able to apply the statement in Genesis (1:27), "God created man in his own image," and to recognize myself as the image of God. I was also able to apply the wonderful truths from a Christian Science pamphlet containing articles that show how man as God's spiritual idea cannot be enticed by habits such as drinking and smoking.

My wife and I were suffering from frequent headaches. We were healed by repeating and learning to understand "the scientific statement of being" in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. It includes these words (p.468): "Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness. Therefore man is not material; he is spiritual."
