"The Scriptures plainly declare the allness and oneness of God to be the premises of Truth, and that God is good: in Him dwelleth no evil. Christian Science authorizes the logical conclusion drawn from the Scriptures, that there is in reality none besides the eternal, infinite God, good" (Miscellaneous Writings by Mrs. Eddy, p. 93). In gratitude for being a witness to the verity of this statement, I wish to relate an experience that is one of many proofs I have had of God's goodness.

The healing truths of Christian Science first were presented to me many years ago when my parents enrolled me at the age of six in the Sunday School of The Mother Church in Boston. Many blessings have come into my experience during the ensuing years. Christian Science has been a constant support to me all my life, beginning with educational years and continuing on to a period when I needed suitable employment. I found it to be of immeasurable help in my role of homemaker and mother and later in bringing up two children after my husband passed on. It is this latter experience I would like to relate.

At the time their father passed, our two daughters were six and twelve years. Through our relying completely upon God as Father and Mother, all feeling in our home of incompleteness, which at first tried to encroach upon our happiness, was beautifully healed. Also, this same assurance of God's goodness eliminated any doubt as to our needs being met, although it was apparent I would soon have to seek remunerative employment.
