The Understanding and Demonstration of True Substance
In this age of fluctuating values it is highly important to understand what true substance is.
The question What is substance? is answered in various ways, depending on whether our concept of it is material or spiritual. In Proverbs we read, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." Prov. 4:7;
A material concept of substance is inevitably unsatisfying. Where can one turn in order to gain a spiritual understanding of it? In Science and Health Mrs. Eddy has revealed the true nature of substance as Spirit. She gives this definition: "Spirit. Divine substance; Mind; divine Principle; all that is good; God; that only which is perfect, everlasting, omnipresent, omnipotent, infinite." Science and Health, p. 594; I know this is true and demonstrable.
