I am very grateful that I have Christian Science to rely upon
I am very grateful that I have Christian Science to rely upon. It has met my every need when I have applied it sincerely.
I first heard of Christian Science during the Second World War, when an acquaintance who was studying this Science prayerfully helped me over a very hard experience. She told me about this religion and conveyed to me such a deep sense of divine Love that I was able to resolve an unhappy, and seemingly insoluble, personal situation. By seeing man as the reflection of God I was able to rise above despair and self-pity over a wrong done to me. In so doing I became a witness to the demonstration of divine might. The problem was resolved in an entirely unexpected way.
I was amazed by this wonderful new way of thinking and praying, although in those days I felt I was too busy to begin serious study. A few months later I had plenty of time to think, and though I knew so little of Christian Science, I could feel its great support.
