I know joy is a most important part of living Christian Science

I know joy is a most important part of living Christian Science. And it is with a warm, joyful, and happy feeling that I relate the following experience.

When I was six years old, I developed a serious mastoid condition that worsened over a period of months. Two doctors were consulted, and finally two surgeons from the large university hospital in the town where we lived. These were all fine men; and it was agreed that if I did not improve within a few days, they would have to operate, but they did not think I would pull through the operation.

After a few days, when I was no better, one of the doctors came to see me one evening and said they would have to operate the next day. That evening my mother telegraphed a Christian Science practitioner in a distant city, and by eight o'clock the next morning I was completely healed.
