[Ability to demonstrate Christian Science comes with study and practice of the truth taught by Christ Jesus and revealed in Science and Health. This series touches upon some ways in which this truth can be applied.]
Healing through gratitude to God
Gratitude to God for being All—for being our Life, Mind, Soul, substance, and action—awakens us to the fact of our unity with Him. It is an important factor in healing.
How vastly important to our health and happiness that we keep alight the flame of gratitude—of warm, thankful appreciation of God and His goodness! This attitude is a potent prayer because it magnifies in our thought the reality of Love's constant giving to man.
The prayer of gratitude blots out the moodiness, discontent, resentment, criticism, that oftentimes underlies physical inharmony. Unless our gratitude to God is consistently active, it is easy to slip into dark negativity and its accompanying trouble.
