Don't Get in the Way
"Give it one more try," the man shouted from the boat.
The girl in the water was getting tired and discouraged. She had been trying for nearly twenty minutes to get up on a pair of water skis. But each time the boat started up she either got the skis crossed or lost her balance. It was her first attempt at the sport, and she was the only one in the group who hadn't been able to get the knack.
Now the boat circled back and was pulling alongside as she struggled to get the skis back on and mask her embarrassment. She smiled weakly at her friends in the boat.
