I shall always be grateful for a very dear aunt, who presented Christian Science to our family by giving us Sentinels. This aunt was a listed practitioner in The Christian Science Journal for many years.
We became interested in Christian Science when our oldest daughter was about six. She was healed in a short time of strep throat. My aunt was the practitioner. After witnessing this healing both my husband and I took up the study of Christian Science. We never resorted to any kind of medicine or medical treatment from then on.
In raising a family of three girls and three boys we depended entirely on God. There were healings and harmonious childbirth through the prayerful help of practitioners and by applying our own understanding of Truth. A few of the healings were those of pneumonia, colds, mumps, measles, chicken pox, impetigo, whooping cough, sprained ankle, severe cuts, punctured artery, a dislocated hip, mastoids, and polio. Our son was a high school senior when he was healed of polio. After having missed three months of school he went back and graduated with his class. Needless to say, our gratitude was unbounded for this beautiful healing.
