[Ability to demonstrate Christian Science comes with study and practice of the truth taught by Christ Jesus and revealed in Science and Health. This series touches upon some ways in which this truth can be applied.]
Healing by recognizing the timelessness of being
Christ Jesus' clear sense of the timelessness of true being freed him from material limitations and gave him the power to heal and regenerate those who came to him for help. He said, "Before Abraham was, I am," John 8:58; and Mrs. Eddy tells us, "The meek Nazarene's steadfast and true knowledge of preexistence, of the nature and the inseparability of God and man,—made him mighty." Miscellaneous Writings, p. 189;
Christian Science teaches us that God, creative Mind, is unconditioned by a time element. He is self-existent Being, without beginning or end, and all that He creates lives and moves in His boundless freedom. Man and the universe are as timeless as their creator because they are forever at one with Him, and flawlessly reflect His nature.
Prayerful reasoning from the foregoing facts can destroy belief that disease takes time to heal. It also destroys the debilitation and decay resulting from the mortal belief in passing time.
