Words of Current Interest
The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the CHRISTIAN SCIENCE QUARTERLY designated to be read in Christian Science churches on September 20, 1970.
Ecclesiastes
The word is strictly a Greek term, meaning "preacher," and corresponds to the Hebrew Koheleth (one who convenes an assembly). Since the writer of the book of the same name appears to describe himself in Ecclesiastes as "the son of David, king in Jerusalem" (1:1), he has been traditionally identified with Solomon, although modern scholars reject this identification.
Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord (Ps. 119:1)
