My heart is full of gratitude to God for revealing Christian Science to Mary Baker Eddy, whose great love for mankind enabled her to become the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.

I attended a Protestant Sunday School from childhood. At the time there were derogatory remarks being made regarding Christian Science by those who really knew very little of its teachings. Thus I gained the idea that it was something I wanted nothing to do with.

Some years later I married a young man whose father was a physician and surgeon and his wonderful mother a Christian Science practitioner. When she visited us and she and my husband were alone together, I worried for fear she might talk to him regarding Christian Science. However, little by little I found myself becoming interested in Mother's way of thinking, though I did not begin studying the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, at that time.
