"IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD"

John 1:1

God's law is felt in rhythm of the seasons:
Spring, summer, autumn, winter. As they flow
In lilting harmony, Love's diapason
Flutes through the violet as through the snow.
And as Mind's cadenced measures fade or swell,
All gloriously, no necromantic drums
Of error can drown out, fragment, dispel,
Truth's omnipresent law: Christ overcomes!

And through the Christ men overcome all things:
Sin, sickness, death—it matters not what would
Claim to be real. Full understanding brings
Knowledge that God is All, and God is good.
Always the timeless rhythm of His Word
Rolls on. Always its meaning shall be heard.
