The reading of many inspiring testimonies of healing in the Christian Science periodicals has brought to my thought an increased sense of gratitude for the provision made by Mrs. Eddy for publishing healings, and with it came a clear conviction that I should contribute one myself.

I first heard of Christian Science over forty years ago just as I was about to embark on a professional career at an age when everyone said I was much too young to do so.

As I look back, I can now see that Christian Science came to me at a time when I most needed it. I soon learned that confidence in God, inspired through a consistent and consecrated study of the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings, had to be proved. Words were not enough; proof was essential. Time and time again, when business problems had to be met and mastered or decisions of importance had to be made, the good that resulted was in exact proportion to the degree of reliance on God. We learn in Christian Science that we must have confidence in God as All.
