Safety in Divine Law
In the northern hemisphere spring is here. The highways are crowded with cars. The snow has gone, and the lure of warm sunshine and vivid greenery is strong. Beauty and promise seem everywhere, symbolizing to spiritually perceptive thought the joy and harmony of divine Love.
How tragically out of tune with this glorious scene are reports of accidents on our highways—of, say, the toll of traffic mishaps on a certain holiday weekend. How totally unnecessary these are, and how vitally important that we stop them!
Christian Science is telling those who will listen that there is a spiritual law which, if obeyed, will guide and protect one under all circumstances. This law becomes effective in human affairs in the degree that the true nature of God is understood. Through his words and works Christ Jesus revealed God to be divine Love, the all-powerful, ever-present Spirit, or Mind, that holds the real man within Himself, controls him with faultless precision, and sustains him in perfect safety. The Master's healing work indicates an invariable law of harmony, of healing and protection, that can be grasped by mankind and applied in the detail of everyday experience.
