In Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy we read (p. 135): "There is to-day danger of repeating the offence of the Jews by limiting the Holy One of Israel and asking: 'Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?' What cannot God do?" We learn in our study of Christian Science that no problem, no matter how severe, is too hard for the Father.

At one time I was stricken with a very painful condition in my back. It was difficult for me to get out of bed, and when I sat down, it was painful to get up. Each time that it was necessary for me to rise I held firmly to Mrs. Eddy's statement in Science and Health (p. 393), "Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good." Although movement was slow, I thanked God for even a small indication that the healing was taking place. I was having treatment in Christian Science. The practitioner reminded me to let Love do it, to rely upon God's healing power, and many times I would say, "Father, I can do nothing of myself, but with Your support I know I can perform whatever is necessary. And so I put myself completely in Your hands." He never failed me.
