I wish to express gratitude for the healing efficacy of Christian Science in my life and the lives of members of my family. I should like to relate three specific healings.

With the help of a Christian Science practitioner and the love of my husband and family, I was lifted out of a very distressing condition. The symptoms of influenza hit me suddenly one day, and by midafternoon I had to have my husband called home from work because I was in great fear and discomfort. He telephoned the practitioner, who assured him that God was with me; then he sat beside me and talked to me of God's loving care for several hours. When my daughters came home from school, they put aside their homework to pray for me.

About nine o'clock that night, as I seemed to be slipping into unconsciousness, my husband held me and really poured in truth until I was able to relax. Soon I fell into a restful sleep. Mrs. Eddy's statement was proved, "The way to extract error from mortal mind is to pour in truth through flood-tides of Love" (Science and Health, p. 201). The next morning I was anxious to be up and about my daily tasks. Previously when I had experienced this same condition, it took at least three days just to get through the most distressing part. I rejoiced to know that "the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword" (Hebr. 4:12).
