It has been many years since I had a testimony published. Christian Science has continued to bless me, and I wish to express my gratitude again publicly.

Forty-two years ago the Christian Scientists with whom I was working in business introduced me to Science. Some years later when my husband passed on, it was necessary for me to get a more spiritual concept of life and a better understanding of what God and His idea, man, are. To know that man does not live here temporarily in a material body and then go on to some uncertain future state, but that he actually coexists with God, who is man's Life, brings a freedom I wish everyone could experience.

While employed in an office where there seemed to be much friction, I fell over a cord one day; and though I got up unhurt, a few weeks later I had a terrific pain in one of my legs. The thought occurred that this was a delayed reaction to the fall. The temptation came to go see what a doctor might say. This I recognized for the error it is, so I did not yield to this suggestion. The nature of the difficulty soon became apparent. Both my knees and ankles began to swell and be very painful. My mother had suffered for many years from arthritis, so I felt this was what needed to be healed.
