I wish to express my humble gratitude to our Father-Mother...
I wish to express my humble gratitude to our Father-Mother God for His Son, Christ Jesus, and for His consecrated, chosen revelator of Truth, Mary Baker Eddy.
My life has been a continuous unfoldment of God's tender, complete control. As a young child I was considered to be quite frail. However, from the truths I had learned by attending a Christian Science Sunday School and by being reared in a Christian Science family, I knew enough not to accept this false concept of myself.
I was led to join a YMCA where I became active in all sports, including competitive swimming. During the nine years that I raced, I had many opportunities to overcome fear, sickness, envy, and undue rivalry, and to assert dominion over the body. Throughout the experience I knew that God was guiding my every step, and I constantly turned to Him in time of need.
