Climbing the Steep Hill
[For children]
Rachel was eagerly awaiting the day to arrive, the day she could visit the summer school her younger sister Ruth was attending. The children at the school were rehearsing a play to perform for their guests. Rachel had helped Ruth learn her part. And now she would see the whole play. It was exciting!
Rachel also had a baby sister. She and her brother, Paul, took turns minding the baby for their mother.
Then the day for the school visit arrived. Rachel could hardly wait to go. Her chores were all done. It was Paul's day to mind the baby. There was nothing to keep her from going.
