God's Promises Are Kept

[Of Special Interest to Children]

Rebecca loved the Bible promises of God's care for His children. One promise reads, "I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick" (Ezek. 34: 16). To her the comforting thought in this verse was that God would give back to her any good she thought she had lost.

Christ Jesus assured his disciples of God's Loving care for everyone. He said (Luke 12:6), "Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?"

At one time Rebecca proved for herself that Bible promises are kept. She bought a chameleon, a small one that clung to her clothes and changed his color, sometimes from green to brown or from brown to green.
