In gratitude for the healings, protection, and supply which have been mine for many years, I should like to share some of my experiences with others.

Many years ago, when I was a new student of Christian Science, I was in the cattle business, and one day a cow kicked me very hard on my left leg. I was taken home and was in bed for about eight days. I knew there were no bones broken; but the leg was badly bruised, and I could not stand on it for at least a week. I was trying to apply the healing truths of Christian Science myself, but about this time my wife asked why I did not ask for treatment from a practitioner. So I agreed to do so, and she called and made an appointment for me for the next day.

She and my brother helped me to the second door, where the practitioner lived, and then they left to do some shopping. I forgot all about time and everything else during the visit and did not remember that they would be waiting downstairs in the car until I noticed that it was almost dark outside. Then I jumped up and thanked the practitioner and ran down the stairs and out to the car, full of apologies for having kept them waiting so long. And it was not until almost two hours later that my mother said she was glad I was all right again, and I realized that all the pain and lameness were gone.
