After I had been studying Science for a few years I joined The Mother Church and a Christian Science Society, and I now wish to express my gratitude through our periodicals for a healing I experienced during my first year of membership.

At the time of the birth of our first child it was said that I would never be able to breast-feed the baby owing to an abnormal physical condition. I was very much disappointed about this; but when I discussed it with a Christian Science practitioner, she very firmly stated that this verdict need not be accepted, and at my request she gave me treatment. Many very helpful thoughts of God's loving care came to me as I prayed and studied. The following lines from Mrs. Eddy's poem "Love" were especially helpful (Poems, p. 7):
