"Thanks be unto God for his...
"Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift" (II Cor. 9:15). These words from the Bible express only modestly what the great gift of Christian Science means to me. For me to enumerate the many healings and unfoldments of reality gained through the increasing understanding of Christian Science and of our loving Father-Mother God is not possible in one testimony.
Healings of chronic constipation, a severe case of influenza, and colds which recurred every winter have been experienced. I had an instantaneous healing of a severe sore throat. The healing was brought about by my understanding and application of "the scientific statement of being" from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. In the statement is this truth (p. 468): "Spirit is the real and eternal; matter is the unreal and temporal."
In addition, I have learned that when we trust God and rely radically on divine Principle, we never lack for any necessary thing, and that we are actually prospered when we trust Him only and stand for divine Principle in the face of any threatened loss—loss of security, job, or anything good. Of this I have absolute proof, having seen it demonstrated in my own affairs, particularly in relation to the finding of employment.
