In 1913 I took up the study of Christian Science. I had suffered from headaches and constipation all my life up to that time, but I have not had a headache or been constipated since then. Through my study I learned what it means to love God and to try to keep His commandments. I have had many demonstrations of the truths of Christian Science and have used the ninety-first Psalm constantly in my prayers, especially the first verse: "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."

About two years ago I had a wonderful healing. I had become unconscious and was told afterward that those who were caring for me would not have given three cents for my life; but I thank God for the protection that has been given me and the lovely and kind friends that I have. Through the application of Christian Science my health was restored.

I am a member of The Mother Church and a branch church. I thank God every morning for the guidance He gives me. I have taken no medicine in all these years. I am living in a home, and there are very few Christian Scientists in it; but I always remember Mrs. Eddy's words (Science and Health, p. 495): "When the illusion of sickness or sin tempts you, cling steadfastly to God and His idea. Allow nothing but His likeness to abide in your thought." I have help from a Christian Science practitioner when needed, and I get to go to church. I am now in my late eighties; and I trust in my God, and I am taken care of all the time and under all circumstances.—(Mrs.) Anna Stark Lemon, Springfield, Ohio.
