God Is Everywhere
[Of Special Interest to Juniors]
In Christian Science one of the things we learn is that God is everywhere. Since God is everywhere, and He is Mind, nothing can be lost. If the suggestion comes that something is lost, we must know that God fills all space; then we can prove that whatever seems to be lost is not lost because there is only one Mind. And like the shepherd who said in Jesus' parable (Luke 15:6), "Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost," we can rejoice.
I proved this with an experience I had. Three years ago, when I was in the fifth grade, I had a parakeet that I loved very much. One Sunday morning Tweetie was perched on the mirror in the bathroom, and in the next room there was a window open which we had failed to notice. The doors were shut so that Tweetie would stay in the bathroom or in my room where his cage was.
Since we were ready, we left for the Christian Science church, which my parents attended, and the Sunday School, which my brother and I attended. Afterward we came home, and I discovered Tweetie was gone!
