Betsy Proves God's Care
[Of Special Interest to Children]
Betsy's favorite time of day was the story hour. She particularly loved the Bible stories. Sometimes she listened to her mother tell about the deliverance of the three Hebrews who were cast into the fiery furnace because they would not break the First Commandment by worshiping idols. Betsy hoped that she would always keep this commandment, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me" (Ex. 20:3), for then she would always be sure of God's care.
After Betsy started to go to day school, she had opportunities to remember the Bible stories and to use the truths she had learned from them.
At one time, her class was attending one of the concerts given in a large auditorium on the state fair grounds. Since children in the city and county schools attended these concerts, there were a great many big yellow school buses parked on the grounds.
